We are a Sámi reindeer-herding family in Tromsø and have lived and worked with reindeer for many generations. Together with our herd of hundreds of reindeer, we welcome you to share our culture, traditions and way of life.

Generations with the herd
We are a Sámi reindeer-herding family in Tromsø, and have been living and working with reindeer for many generations. Our herd of hundreds of reindeer spends the winter in the valley outside the city and the summer up in the mountains, where the calves are born.
Technology has changed the way we herd, but the way of life has not. The reindeer still decide the rhythm of our year, and the whole family — children included — grows up with them.
Each winter we open our camp and welcome guests into that world: a sled ride behind a reindeer, the herd around you while you feed them, a hot bidos over the fire in the gamme, joik and stories while the Arctic sky darkens above — and, with a little luck, the Northern Lights.
It is more than a sledding tour. It is our everyday life, and we are happy to share it.

When you can visit us
The reindeer are roaming free in the mountains during the summer months. We open our doors again on October 31st 2026.
